Patient Testimonials

I was born with one hand and I have always been able to take care of my self independently. When I started to have pain in my one hand, I sought the care of Dr. Nelson. I am thankful that Dr. Nelson never pressured me. He made me feel very comfortable before and after surgery. Before my surgery he let me dictate what should be done with my hand. He treated me as an individual and was very down to earth. I recovered very well and more quickly than I thought. The entire administrative staff and therapy were great.

Endoscopic Carpal Tunnel Surgery

Everyone in the office worked very had to get me through a very bad hand injury --I cut most of the nerves in my hand with a table saw. I was able to go back to work doing my regular job and much earlier than expected.

I've been with this doctor and his therapists for many years. This is a great practice. They always find a way to remedy my problems. Dr. Nelson and I discussed a new procedure and his research into the details made me feel confident enough to go forward with the surgery. I am finally pain free. Thank you, Dr. Nelson and staff.

It's amazing! I can't believe I can do the things I couldn't do before the surgery. There was very little pain. I can even put my earrings in! I am very glad I had it done.

Trigger Finger Release Surgery - 8 Fingers

I feel the care I received from the Hand Center was above and beyond the norm. My recovery was carefully watched and the staff was always friendly. Appointments were on time, I was not left for hours waiting to see the doctor or the therapists. Phone calls were always returned and the staff really listened to me. The therapists were very caring and accommodated my schedule. In my opinion, you really can't ask for more than that. Caring, quality care, promptness and great follow through. I would recommend The Hand Center to anyone looking for this kind of commitment from a group of professionals.

Needle Aponeurotomy Procedure for Dupuytren's Disease

This procedure is a piece of cake! My dad had the old surgical procedure where they make a 6 inch incision in the palm of your hand. Believe me, I waited a long time for a doctor in our area to perform Needle Aponeurotomy. The procedure takes an hour and you use your new hand to drive yourself home!

After suffering from Dupuytren's Contracture for many years, I never thought I would have the relief and improvement that was the result of the Needle Aponeurotomy procedure. Dr. Nelson was very clear in his description of what results I could expect and the steps of the procedure. Within minutes, without pain, my fingers were functional again.

I have had four major surgeries on my hands, with recovery time of almost two months each. The Needle Aponeurotomy procedure was completely painless with no recovery time, no stitches. I would not hesitate having this procedure done in the future.
